Court Road – Southport

Tucked cosily away in back of the former Sefton Magistrates’ Courts is Court Road.

Taking a lead from the Courts municipal modernism – the homes are a delightful example of flat roofed, inter-war brick built functionalism.

Perfectly proportioned and decorated with a delicate horizontal concrete quadruple stripe – they have survived almost intact.

Cursed with the modern curse of uPVC everything satellite dishes and such.

Not to mention the occasional carriage lamp.
